His parents are Leonard Stutts and Mary (Williams?)

Born January 27, 1798 in Moore County, North Carolina. Died September 14, 1883 in Lauderdale County, Alabama. Buried Milner's Chapel Cemetery.

He married twice first to Susannah Ritter September 11, 1789 Moore, North Carolina. They had 8 children. Mary Stutts, Thomas Branson Stutts, Margaret Stutts, Catherine Kate Stutts, Leonard Wesley Stutts, John Ritter Stutts, Deborah Safrona Stutts, and Martha Jane Stutts.

Then he married Lucinda Emmaline McMurtrey on December 20, 1863 in Lauderdale, Alabama. They had 4 children that I know of. William Henry Jacob Stutts, Virginia Parlee Stutts, Susannah Francis Stutts, Julius Powers Stutts.
